Lauren Westafer

Lauren Westafer, DO, MPH, MS is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine and Department of Healthcare Delivery and Population Science at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate. She also serves as the Director of the Emergency Medicine Research Fellowship. She is a practicing emergency physician and clinician-researcher with a focus on implementation science, pulmonary embolism, and opioid use disorder. She is currently funded by a K23 through the NHLBI. Lauren is a research methodology editor for Annals of Emergency Medicine and co-founder of the Emergency Medicine podcast, FOAMcast.
